    Slab: Volume = Length × Width × Thickness
    Column: Volume = π × (Diameter÷2)² × Height × Count
    Total = Net Volume × (1 + Waste %)

    Concrete is typically ordered in cubic metres (or cubic yards in imperial) directly from the ready-mix supplier, not converted to weight.

    A 10m × 6m slab at 150mm thick with an 8% waste factor:

    Volume = 10 × 6 × 0.15 = 9 m³
    Waste = 9 × 0.08 = 0.72 m³
    Total = 9 + 0.72 = 9.72 m³
